UPCOMING 2012 BRICK & MORTAR BASH TO BENEFIT HISTORIC NASHVILLE

EVENT TO BE HELD AT THE 112-YEAR OLD UNION STATION, A FORMER TRAIN STATION IN DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE. THE EVENT WILL RECALL A PART OF NASHVILLE’S HISTORY AND HONOR ONE OF THE CITY’S GREATEST PRESERVATION ACHIEVEMENTS.

BRICK AND MORTAR BASH

Historic Nashville, Inc. will host the second annual Brick & Mortar Bash benefit on Friday, May 25 at the Union Station Hotel in downtown Nashville. Media are invited to attend.

The Brick and Mortar Bash raises funds and awareness that support Historic Nashville’s mission to preserve the places that make Nashville unique. HNI carries out its mission each year by identifying and promoting endangered Nashville Nine properties each year, hosting monthly Behind-the-Scenes Tours of some of Nashville’s most interesting historic sites, operating its Preservation Easement Program and partnering with Habitat for Humanity, along with other important programs.

Did you know there used to be alligator ponds at track level? Learn more about the history of Union Station, and how Historic Nashville helped to save this priceless landmark from demolition.
