Members-Only Tour of Downtown Public Library March 9

Join Historic Nashville for a members-only tour of the Civil Rights Room, the Votes for Women Room, and NPL Special Collections at the Downtown Public Library!

In special appreciation and honor of both Black History Month and Women’s History Month (February and March) the Nashville Public Library is offering HNI members a unique opportunity, pairing self-guided browsing of the Civil Rights Room and the Votes for Women Exhibit with a private tour of the library’s Special Collections.

These two thought-provoking exhibits chronicle the amazing and progressive events that took place here in Nashville and influenced our nation’s history.

We will meet at the Nashville Room reference desk at 10 am (2nd floor of the library.) Splitting into three groups, we’ll enjoy self-guided exploration of the Civil Rights Room and the Votes for Women Room and receive a behind-the-scenes tour of the library’s Special Collections.

Please note: you must be a current HNI member to go on this tour. You can renew your membership here:

If you are unsure of your membership status, please email Attendees with lapsed or no memberships will be billed.

Due to limited capacity at the venue, this is a free but ticketed event for HNI members.
