Join Historic Nashville For A Member’S Only Behind-The-Scenes Tour Of Marathon Village!

When: July 16, 2016 @ 10:00 CST

Where: 1305 Clinton St, Nashville, TN 37203

Details: Park in the gravel lot behind 1305 Clinton Street or in the overflow lot next to that alley. Parking may also be available on side lots but will be limited due to high traffic for summer tourist season. Plan to arrive early to find parking. Members should meet in the lobby of 1305 Clinton Street to begin the tour at the Car Museum.

Once abandoned and overgrown with weeds, Marathon Village is now a booming national tourist destination and home of the original Marathon Motor Car factory. The factory and surrounding buildings were built between circa 1881 and 1912 with differing styles of architecture. Several original Marathon Cars can be viewed inside the car museum. The village is an example of adaptive reuse of historic Nashville structures and houses various local businesses including an art gallery, a coffee shop, boutiques, a brewery and taproom, and the popular Antique Archaeology store. Join Historic Nashville members for a behind-the-scenes exclusive tour with the owner and savior of the now-restored historic property, Barry Walker.
