Kira Hilley

A Nashville resident since 1989, Kira Hilley currently works in construction finance and is a General Contractor (residential/small commercial,) following a career in the music business and with nonprofits. Experience includes C-suite roles as executive director in finance, marketing, production, product development, and fundraising. Career highlights include responsibility for the masters and development of releases for Hank Williams (Sr.) and other artists’ historic recordings (Universal Music), serving as a founding executive for Lost Highway Records including the marketing of the “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” soundtrack, running Leadership Music (six years), co-authoring a book (Hank Williams: Snapshots from the Lost Highway), and winning a Grammy Award (Best Historical).

Kira met her husband (pastor) John Hilley on an alumni committee for Leadership Nashville, and the Hilleys have four grown children and six grandchildren, all in Nashville. They have undertaken two major renovations of their AIA Award-winning timber-framed mid-century (1967) home in the Battlemont neighborhood, while staying true to the period and architectural design, inspired by Sea Ranch, the planned community in Sonoma County, California.
